# Currencies
## Setup - Basic Data Setup
When you select the **Region** in the application, the local currency assigned to that Region/Country is created automatically.
You can create a **new Currency** by tapping the 
button, if you want to accept payment for your sales in other Currencies than the official one of your Region/Country.
Here you can enter the data for the new Currency:
* ***Code:*** By default, the system generates a sequential code, which can be changed as long as it is unique.
* ***Name:*** Here you must enter the name of the Currency.
* ***Status:*** Here you select whether this currency is in Active or Inactive status.
* ***Rate:*** Here you must enter the conversion factor with respect to the Currency of the Region/Country.
* ***Symbol:*** Here you must enter the symbol that identifies the Currency and that will be printed next to the amounts.
* ***Image:*** Here you can select an image that identifies the currency.
* ***Symbol position:*** The currency symbol can be printed before (Left) or after (Right) the amounts.
* ***Decimals Number:*** Here you must enter the number of decimals that the currency has.
You can add an image that identifies the currency using the 
button.
You can choose an image from the preloaded **image catalog**.
You can choose a **color** that will fill the entire button. The name will appear centered on the button.
You can use **your own images**. Use the **Android Gallery** to search for images on your terminal or on an external device connected to it. It is recommended to choose images of a small size. If your device has a **Camera**, you can take a picture.
You can choose an image from the **web catalog**, selecting the classification that best fits. This option appears when you have authenticated in **FACTORYCLOUD** and assigned the business.�

This is an example of currencies.
Here you can see the list of **all created Currencies**.
All sales will be made using the **default Currency** defined here.
In the Payment Screen, you will have the option to change the amount of the sale to the **New Currency** and pay in cash with this Currency. The **Change returned** is always calculated in the **default Currency** of the Region/Country.
