Payment Methods

Setup - Basic Company Data

After you select the Region, the default payment methods for that region are automatically generated.

Here is the list of default Payment Methods.

You can add a new Payment Method by tapping on the button or edit/delete the existing ones by double tapping on them.

Here you can enter the data for a new Payment Method:

• Code: By default, the system generates a sequential code, which can be changed as long as it is unique.

• Name: Here you must enter the name of the Payment Methods, in the default language and you can do it in all the languages defined in the system, using the button.

• Type: There are several types of Payment Methods:

  • Cash: Used to collect Cash transactions. When returning change in any means of Payment, it is always deducted from the Cash.

  • Check: Used to collect transactions by Check.

  • Card: Used to charge transactions by credit/debit card. If a payment gateway linked to the application has been defined, using this Payment Method will activate the charging device automatically.

  • Pending: Used to finalize transactions that have been assigned to a customer in the application database and who does not pay on the spot. The debt amount is stored and can be paid later via Cash Movements.

  • Restaurant Ticket: In some countries it is possible to pay via meal coupons that can have a fixed or variable amount. Several keys could be created with preset amounts.

  • Store Credit: There is the possibility to issue a voucher/coupon instead of cash back when there is a return of goods. This voucher can be used to pay for future sales.

  • Tip: Allows you to record the tip received on a particular sale.

  • Mobile Payment: Used to collect transactions by mobile payment.

• Status: Here you select whether this Payment Method is Active or Inactive.

• Print: Here you select whether to print the receipt when using this Payment Method.

• Cash drawer: Here you select if the cash drawer should be opened when you use this Payment Method.

• Image: Here you can select the image that best identifies this Payment Method.

• Value: This option is only valid for the Restaurant Ticket type of Payment. They are used to create different Payment Methods with a preset amount. To accept variable values, we must enter: 1.00.

You can add an image that identifies the payment method using the button.

You can choose an image from the preloaded image catalog.

You can choose a color that will fill the entire button. The name will appear centered on the button.

You can use your own images. Use the Android Gallery to search for images on your terminal or on an external device connected to it. It is recommended to choose images of a small size. If your device has a Camera, you can take a picture.

You can choose an image from the web catalog, selecting the classification that best fits. This option appears when you have authenticated in FACTORYCLOUD and assigned the business.
