Setup - Advanced Setup

Packs are used when we want to sell items with several components in which you can choose between several options in each Group of components but have a unique price for any combination you choose. They are typically used for Meal Menus (with a choice of a Starter, a Main Course and a Drink).

You can create different pack structures, with the names of the Groups of your choice. During the sale, you will only be able to select one option from each Group.

Here you can enter the data for the new pack:

  • Code: Here you can define the code for the Pack. By default, the system generates a sequential code, which can be changed as long as it is unique.

  • Name: Here you enter the name of the Pack.

Now you have some Packs created.

Here you can enter the values for the selected groups:

  • Code: Here you can define the code of the Group of choice. By default, the system generates a sequential code, which can be changed as long as it is unique.

  • Name: The name of the new value.

  • Pack: Here you can choose the pack.

  • Order: The different Groups will appear in this order when you sell a Pack type item (the Starter will be 1, so it appears before the Main Course, which will be 2).

  • Minimum units: Here you can define the number of minimum units to determine that a section is complete.

  • Maximum units: Here you can define the number of maximum units of the pack.

  • Jumping units: Here you can define the number of minimum units to be entered for the system to automatically skip to the next section.

  • Units included: Here you can define the number of units that are included in the pack price.

  • Price calculation: Here you can define how the price calculation will be applied to the selected group: charge the highest prices, charge the lowest prices, etc.

Here you can see an example of the Groups of choice of the Breakfast Menu Pack where you can select one Pastry, a Drink and a Juice.

In this screen we will add the Packs. Press the button to add a Pack. If you want to edit/delete existing packs, double tap on them.

If you select a Pack and slide your finger on the screen to the left, to access the second tab for managing the Packs, you will be able to add Groups for the selected Pack by tapping on the button.
