In this screen, you can add all the Devices and Peripherals connected to your terminal. Depending on the selected region, there may be other special devices only available for that region.
If your terminal includes integrated devices they will be configured automatically.
Depending on the terminal on which you have installed the application, you can connect the devices using wired Ethernet, USB and COM ports, or wirelessly using Bluetooth or WiFi.
In the port selection, the following options will be available:
COM/RS232: You will be able to view the available connections in the COMx format, where x is the port number.
USB: You will see the available connected peripherals in the format Vendor 0000 Product 0000.
Bluetooth: You must first pair your Bluetooth Devices through the Android settings. Once this is done, you can select them in the FACTORYPOS device configuration.
WiFi/Network: In order to add an Ethernet or WiFi Device, you must enter the IP address followed by the port number. Ticket printers use port number 9100, so the format should be 192.168.x.x:9100.
For COM/RS232 and USB connections you can set the communication speed with the device, with 9600 and 115200 being the most common values.
In the Additional Parameters you can configure more communication parameters, depending on the selected device.
You can first add the most common connection devices:
Here you can add the receipt printer to be used in the system. The first thing to do is to select the connection port and then the type of printer to be used.
There are 3 basic types of receipt printers: 57mm or 80mm wide thermal printers and 76mm wide dot matrix printers. Sometimes, depending on the terminal or region, other printers may be available.
You will be able to modify some additional parameters for the receipt printer:
Check Status: This option checks if the printer has any problem before sending the data to print, such as no paper or any other error. It only works on some printer models and terminals.
Logo Header: Many printers have a software utility that allows you to store graphic logos in its memory. With this option enabled, the 01 logo will be printed on the header of the ticket.
Logo Footer: Many printers have a software utility that allows you to store graphic logos in its memory. With this option enabled, logo 02 will be printed in the ticket footer.
Text/Graphic Mode: All printers operate in Text Mode. The Graphic Mode is used for printing special Language Characters such as Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Arabic, Cyrillic, etc. If you select Graphic Mode, you must also enter the Print Width in dots that the printer is capable of printing. For 57mm/2" printers it is usually 384 dots and for 80mm/3" it is usually from 512 dots to 576 dots, depending on the printer resolution.
Graphic mode is not available for RS232 and Bluetooth printers.
Use the CHECK button to verify the connection to the printer.
Here, you can add the Cash Drawer to be used in the terminal. Cash drawers are usually connected to a receipt printer.
